Katie
Katie began her journey at Laboratorie in 2017. After years as a client of Bethany’s + burnt out after nearly a decade of working in some of the most acclaimed restaurants in the area, Katie accepted a part time position as a salon assistant— a position that Bethany offered her on a whim while cutting Katie’s hair. In no time at all, it became clear that Katie had more than a casual interest in the detailed, creative + technical work she was watching the stylists perform. The part time position turned into a full time position. The full time position turned into an apprenticeship. The “apprentice” turned out to possess the kind of raw talent that her mentor + educator, Rebecca, has rarely seen in her years of teaching. Katie excels in creative color. She has a discerning eye for composition, creating color masterpieces that far surpass her years of experience.
Katie has completed her training with Rebecca + graduated to working with clients independantly in 2020. While she is continuing to hone her technical skills + build her speed, appointments may run longer than typical, but the results are more than worth it!
