Risa

Risa joined Laboratorie in 2016, after spending nine years in various roles within the beauty industry. Starting out as an assistant in an award winning salon, she came to realize that she wanted to pursue a stylist position and began an in-house apprenticeship in 2011, receiving her license in 2014. After a brief stopover in a modern Barber Shop specializing in short cuts, Risa made her way to Laboratorie to further her skills and train under Rebecca Dorsey, our Director of Education. Risa completed her intensive training curriculum at Laboratorie in December of 2017. She continues to pursue her craft through classes both in salon and with various industry leaders. Risa excels in cutting with a specialty in very short shapes including fades. She enjoys creating precise shapes that are highly suitable for each individual and all hair textures.

In addition to her creative work behind the chair, Risa is a visual artist + has won several awards for her sculpture work.

Risa is available by appointment Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, + Saturdays.
